Kohn Architecture provided Temporary Place of Assembly (TPA) permits for El Museo Del Barrio. Located on New York City’s famed 5th Avenue Museum Mile, El Museo Del Barrio is the largest cultural institution devoted to Puerto Rican and Latin culture in the United States.

Since 2004, Kohn Architecture has worked with El Museo del Barrio on numerous projects, including a Place of Assembly (PA) permit for the landmarked Heckscher Theatre, the museums administrative offices, the exterior courtyard, and numerous other projects throughout the building.

For El Museo’s special exhibitions and gala events, KOHN architecture provided TPA permits for up to 1500 people for such events as Super Sabado, Museum Mile Day, Dia de los Muertos, gala parties, art openings and movie premieres.
